- Access Codes are 4-8 digits long.
- Access Codes can be assigned to any user with an account.
- Access Codes must be unique, the same code cannot be assigned to different users of the same lock.
- Access Codes support optional Start and/or End date entered by PM only in their Command Center.
- Users can define their own code for residential unit access, and a HoH or PM can save that code to their eKey.
- Access Codes are not supported for Common Area locks.
Who creates and manages Access Codes:
- PMs using their Command Center or mobile app can assign an Access Code to HoHs of lock for their residential unit.
- HoHs using the mobile app can assign an Access Code to other residents or guest users of their residential unit lock but they must be given eKey access first.

AIQ Sync requirement:
- ● AIQ Sync is required for all associated locks whenever access changes from codes and/or cards are made.
● When using the mobile app, the user will be prompted to perform AIQ Sync if a change they made needs to be synchronized with the associated lock. If done via the mobile app, the sync will be performed over Bluetooth so the user’s phone needs to be in range of the lock.
● With gateways present in the property, AIQ Sync will be performed from the gateway with no user intervention being required.
FAQs:
Q: If a user forgot their Access Code, can they see it anywhere? When I input an Access Code, the display in the mobile app shows eight dots, but I only used a four digit Access Code. Why is that?
A: Once the Access Code has been saved in the system, the app has no knowledge of how many digits were used in the code. Eight dots are displayed to indicate that a code has been saved. This is similar to how financial systems show that a password has been saved for a user’s account.
Q: What is the maximum number of codes for a lock?
A: A lock can support a mixture of up to xxxx codes and cards, however each user may only have one Access Code.
Q: If a user forgot their Access Code, can they see it anywhere?
A: Once an Access Code has been saved in the system, it is not visible anywhere. In this situation, a HoH or PM should delete the user’s Access Code and provide a new one.
Q: If a user forgot their Access Code, can anyone look it up?
A: No. Once an Access Code has been saved in the system, it cannot be seen by anyone.
