If the handing configuration of an AccessIQ lock is incorrect, it can result in persistent UNKNOWN lock status and Bolt Jam errors being reported.
Follow these steps to reset the handing configuration of a lock:
1. Open the door so that the bolt can travel freely.
2. Press and hold the lock button on the keypad.
3. While holding the lock button down, using the RESET pin press and release the
reset button on the back of the lock adjacent to the battery.
4. After the lock beeps, release the lock button.
5. When the handing feature of the lock is triggered, the bolt will travel a few times
and then reboot.
6. Using the mobile app. verify that the lock is functioning properly.
