There are multiple ways in which access to a tenants lock may be given:
1. From the Head of Household (HoH):
a. The HoH can assign a unique Access Code for each new user and save that in their lock. New users would then use their Access Code with the lock’s keypad to unlock their unit.
b. The HoH can send an eKey from the mobile app to their new user. Each new user can install the mobile app, create an account and accept the eKey shared with them. They can use the mobile app to unlock their door, or they can add a pass to their mobile wallet and use the NFC capability of it without the need to open the app.
2. From the Property Manager (PM):
a. The PM can send invitations to minor children as residents (not HoH). This should be by HoH request only.
